Changi Rewards
Changi Rewards is a loyalty program that rewards customers with exclusive privileges and rebates in the form of Changi Rewards points when they spend at Changi Airport or iShop Changi. As part of their strategic partnership with Singapore Airlines, the program has enabled Krisflyer miles direct earn as an option. This offers Changi Rewards customers greater flexibility and value with options to earn in Changi Rewards points or KrisFlyer miles on their spend.
The task:
Create a seamless user experience to choose between the two earn options, Changi Rewards points or KrisFlyer miles, on their spend with Changi Airport or iShop Changi.
Responsibility:
UX lead and hands-on UI.

Choose earning preference upon login
Changi Rewards wants to bring their partnership with Singapore Airlines to the next level, the platform now allows customers to direct earn KrisFlyer miles on their purchases. As this is a new feature to the program, the objective of the design is to create a foolproof user experience that clearly outlines the two options at the start of the journey. It should also allow flexibility for users to switch should there be a change of mind.
During discoveries, I learned that the rewards page will be hidden prior to choosing the preference due to benefits of both loyalty programs are not interchangeable. To cover this scenario, we drafted out several UX options (shown below), where we welcome users with a splash screen showing the two earn options upon login; with an explanation of each.
Change of mind? Simply switch
Flexibility is very much expected for this new feature. I created an easy route that enables switching between the two earn options whenever users wish to do so. They can simply go to their rewards setting and select the option. Hassle-free and instant change.
After some iteration, I get them aligned with product and developers on how the user journey should be and finalized the actual wireframe.
